Everywhere you look there is help to lose weight. In fact, there is too much of it – where do you start? Whose advice is the best? In this article, I’ll share with you 3 of my best tips that I personally used to help myself lose 44 lbs in 4 months (no joke, I’ll prove it to you at the end of the article).
Tip 1 – Learn To Love Fruit

Most of us like fruit already anyway. But there are some people who believe that we should be eating around 80% fruit anyway.

Now I for one am not going to start doing that but I did increase my intake of fruit when I wanted to lose weight.

I do see their point though because I truly do believe that the body loves nothing better than fruit at some times, especially in the morning. You have a protected, portion sized piece of food that is also loaded with water and maybe some seeds to help spread itself!

The best part about fruit is that it is so nutritious and contains hardly any calories! My favourite are berries on both these counts.

Try getting some frozen raspberries (or freeze them yourself). I am telling you that this is one of the most tasty things you can eat – far better than any candy!

Tip 2 – Eat Only When You’re Hungry

Now I know that this sounds incredibly simple but often the best tips are.

First of all, only have a meal when you feel hunger. By the way, if you feel hunger then you don’t need to immediately eat. You can easily wait an hour, maybe two or even more. The body can cope with that. Try it out as an exercise just to get used to the sensations.

Then, when you do eat, only eat enough to keep your hunger at bay and not one bite more. If you eat until you feel “full” then this means that you ate too much. You ate beyond the point where your body no longer had any hunger and you kept eating purely for pleasure, even though your body is giving you discomfort.

This is commonly done by overweight people and it’s something that many people of a normal weight do naturally without even thinking about it.

Tip 3 – What Comes Around Goes Around

There’s nothing wrong in eating a load of junk food every once in a while. In fact, it’s good to eat what you want one day a week because it stops your body from going into “fat preservation mode”.

But if you do eat too much of the wrong thing too often (and you’ll know it) then know that you need to compensate for that and maybe eat lighter the next day. Only you have the power to control your own will and nobody else.
